Update on Confirmed Swine Flu Cases Around the World

Although the swine flu virus is obviously spreading faster in some areas of the world than others, it seems to be steadily appearing in more locations. To help you stay informed about the swine flu virus, we have compiled a list of the newest confirmed swine flu cases around the world:

United States-

In the state of Indiana, twelve more cases of the swine flu virus have been confirmed. The twelve new cases (which brings the total in Indiana to fifteen) were in the following Indiana counties: Marion (5), Lake (2), Hendricks (1), Porter (1), Putnam (1), St. Joseph (1), and Tippecanoe (1)

In the state of New York, the number of confirmed cases is currently at ninety (the total rose to ninety on Monday when seventeen additional cases were confirmed). Of these ninety confirmed cases, seventy-three of them are in New York City. However, so far, all of the cases in the state of New York have been classified as mild.

In the state of Georgia, two more cases were confirmed in suburban Atlanta. The two latest confirmed cases were a three year boy and a thirty-six year old pregnant woman.

South Korea-

In South Korea, the second confirmed case of swine flu was announced today. The first case of swine flu in South Korea involved a fifty-one year old nun who had returned to South Korea after visiting Mexico (it has been confirmed that she has made a full recovery). According to officials, the second confirmed case of swine flu not only lived in the same residential unit as the first, but also picked her up from the airport when she returned from Mexico.
